Downtown Looting: May 31, 2020

Summary

On May 31, 2020 at 4:50 p.m., the downtown business area of Walnut Creek was the target of mass looting by an organized group of criminals. Thirty-nine separate businesses were victimized and the estimated total loss in damaged and stolen property is between three to four million dollars. 

The Walnut Creek Police Department Investigations Bureau has already identified several looting suspects and made several arrests.

In an effort to hold other looters accountable, the Walnut Creek Police Department is releasing several surveillance photographs and seeking the public’s assistance in identifying additional suspects.
