When to Call 9-1-1

9-1-1 is for police, fire and medical emergencies

Call 9-1-1 if:

  • There a danger to life or property, or hazard to the environment
  • A crime is in progress or happened within the last 5-10 minutes
  • Medical emergencies
  • Fire

You can also dial 925-935-6400 for urgent situations that are not life-threatening emergencies.

To report issues that do not require immediate assistance, call our non-emergency phone number 925-943-5844 and press 2.
