Cold Cases

The Investigations Bureau investigates serious criminal cases that occur in our city. Most serious cases are solved in a reasonable amount of time. Some lack significant information and eventually the case becomes “cold.”

“Cold cases” are currently open and serious crimes. But they have little evidence or leads to identify a suspect and have not been solved. Cold cases are sometimes solved using technological advances, like DNA. Publicized cases can create public interest. This can result in someone coming forward with new information, or a suspect eventually confesses.

In an effort to solve these cases we post summaries of the cases. If you or someone you know has any information about these cases, call (925) 943-5844. Your help may bring closure to the families of these victims.
