Stay informed in a disaster by signing up for emergency notifications from the City of Walnut Creek and Contra Costa County.

We recommend setting up notifications for all the addresses where your family spends a lot of time, including your home, your office, and your childrens’ schools.

  • Earthquake Warning California: This statewide early warning system can give you a few extra seconds to take cover before you feel shaking in a large earthquake. Download the MyShake App or sign up for text messages to get alerts.
  • PG&E Outage Alerts: Sign up for outage alerts from PG&E to get notifications by text, email, or phone when there is an active or planned power outage in your area, including Public Safety Power Shutoffs.
