Get a RV Permit

You must have a permit to park an RV on a public street in residential areas overnight. RV permits are free. They last for 2 days for residents, 3 days for visitors.

You need a permit if:

  • Your vehicle is more than 20 feet long and 7 feet tall
  • You plan to park on the street in a residential area between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.

You can apply for a permit online or in person. You will need to provide:

  • The make, model, color, and license plate number of the RV
  • The location you intend to park

We process RV permit applications Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., except holidays. Permits take 24 hours to process within this time period.
