Homelessness

Homelessness has become an increasing problem across the country, California, Contra Costa County and in Walnut Creek. With the help of volunteers, nonprofit and private organizations, Walnut Creek can make positive changes in the lives of people experiencing homelessness.

Creating Solutions

The Walnut Creek Police Department partners with local and county homeless service centers to provide support to our homeless population. Our team participates in monthly meetings to coordinate the City’s activities for services and housing resources for the homeless.

The Homeless Outreach Team makes efforts to address homelessness in Walnut Creek. They also connect people experiencing homeless with resources.
